17th EVALENE Golf Tournament tees off at Malarayat

The annual EVALENE® Golf Tournament was held on November 25, 2015 in Lipa City, Batangas. For this year’s venue, JG Summit Petrochemicals Group chose the beautiful greenery and cool highland climate of the Malarayat Golf and Country Club with the lush Batangas mountains as a serene backdrop.

96 golfers representing JGSPG’s customers, suppliers and company executives joined the event which has become a cherished tradition that the Group’s partners and stakeholders look forward to every year since the very first tournament was held in 1998. And while competition was evident on the greens, it turned into camaraderie and friendly banter during the awarding ceremony held during a sumptuous Filipino lunch prepared by Malarayat’s own food and beverage chef.

The annual EVALENE® golf cup is also a fundraising venue for Abot Kamay – JGSPG’s core corporate social responsibility project. Proceeds from mulligan ticket sales amounting to P 43,900.00 will go to the various Abot Kamay beneficiaries (students of Pinamucan and Simlong Elementary Schools in Batangas City).

Thank you to our valued customers, business partners, guests and all our sponsors. Congratulations to all winners and we look forward to 2016 as the EVALENE® Golf Tournament turns 18.
