JG Summit Petrochemicals Group (JGSPG) joined the recently concluded Brigada Eskwela, a project of Department of Education that does clean-up and minor repairs in their respective schools in preparation for the start of the school year. This event also known as the “Bayanihan para sa Paaralan” started in 2003 and is participated by teachers, students, parents, community members and NGOs of each barangay.

The Brigada Eskwela ran for 4 days which started in Pinamucan Ibaba Elementary School on May 15, 2017 followed by Pinamucan Proper National High School on May 16, 2017, next was Pinamucan Proper Elementary School on May 17, 2017 and lastly was Simlong Elementary School on May 18, 2017. JGSPG employees were present on the clean-up and donated snacks and refreshments to the volunteers. Members of the Sangguniang Pambarangay, DepEd employees and Red Cross Batangas volunteers were also present in the action.

JG Summit Petrochemicals Group advocates education to its employees and host barangays through various programs that aims to make life better for the community.
