A special seminar for JG Summit Petrochemical Corporation customers entitled “Optimize, Maximize and Discover New Opportunities with EVALENE^®: A Discussion on Films” was held on September 15 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas, Quezon City.

50 participants representing 27 film converters and two trader partners attended the half-day seminar which featured four speakers from overseas representing various players in the plastics film value chain, including additive suppliers W.R. Grace Specialty Chemicals and Croda, laboratory testing equipment provider Labthink Instrument, and blown and cast film extrusion machine manufacturer Windmoeller & Hoelscher.

The highlight of the seminar was the presentation entitled “EVALENE^® Films Product and Services Portfolio” by Mr. Rolando Marasigan Jr., Manager of JGSPC’ Customer Technical Services and Applications Research Department under the Products, Innovations and Customer Solutions Division. In his talk Mr. Marasigan introduced the new experimental EVALENE^® C6 LLDPE grade LF08263 with slip and antiblock. This premium C6 LLDPE is a complementary product extension to the commercially available LF08262 barefoot grade, expanding the EVALENE^® premium C6 LLDPE product portfolio in response to the market’s needs. Product trials and qualifications are ongoing as a result of the interest with this new EVALENE^® LF08263 generated after the seminar.

Lunch was hosted by JGSPC after the event which also provided a venue for networking for the participants and speakers together with the JG Commercial Team represented by Sales, Credit and Collection, Technical Service and Marketing.
