Over 400 JG Summit Olefins Corporation (JGSOC) team members and family members participated in the inaugural Family PatikaRUN, a fundraising fun run event in Batangas City on June 29, 2024.
PatikaRUN is a wordplay for the Batangueño term “Patikar,” which means “in a hurry” or “to act swiftly.”
The day was a celebration of the JGSOC community, as participants reconnected with colleagues, friends, family, community members, and corporate partners. The Zumba dance, group activities, freebies from event partners and sponsors, and raffle all added to the fun and excitement, fueling the attendees’ energy.

The event was a welcome change of pace and an opportunity to reinforce JGSOC’s commitment to employee well-being and our unrelenting dedication to making a difference in the lives of many. JGSOC’s inaugural Family PatikaRun has raised PHP244,150 which will be allocated to support the beneficiaries of Abot Kamay, JGSOC’s corporate social responsibility program.
Abot Kamay, which began in the late 1990s, focuses on education, the environment, and community development, benefiting JGSOC’s host communities and adjacent communities in Batangas City and beyond.
